2024 Gear thread

There were supposed to have a new version and I was gonna buy them, staggs in the wild was flaunting them but they just went dark and changed colors as did tethrd. Idk if there is some legal stuff or what
Does anyone have any experience with these? A little more expensive then EWO, but less than Tethrd or latitude.

They are the same as the Latitude knee pads. Latitude rebranded them and changed colors. I have the Latitude version and my dad has the Alta version. They are my favorite knee pads so far. I put them on and take them off at the truck and barely notice them. I haven't tried the Tethrd pads.

I was thinking that they look similar to the latitude pads. Glad to hear they are the same thing. I think I will order myself a pair for next season. Had been holding out for the EWO 2nd gen, but doesn't seem that they rubberized the cap on them. Thanks for info.

You have to decide what you want in a kneepad.

Soft shell - like the Latitude/Alta kneepads. Grip the tree well for stabilizing for a shot. However, they aren’t very comfortable kneeling into the tree. You will feel bumps and divots through them.

Hard shell - like tethrd/arcteryx the hardshell you won’t feel any discomfort kneeling into the tree like the soft shell. However, they have a tendency to slide off the tree and not very good at stabilizing for a shot.

I prefer the hardshell myself.

I like the idea but worry about the glow first and last light.

Agree. I've got that covered. Used to use this fletching cover when I used all white fletching and white wraps on my arrows. Noticed that when on the ground with bow/quiver movement getting picked off while stalking and would cause deer to react as if to another deers flag= danger. Seemed to cease once I started using it. Don't remember who made it, but you can tell by the camo pattern I've had it a while.

Going to order some glow, in case this relaunch doesn't stick, as was the case the last time they put them out.

I've heard once you're old your lil hands get chilly fast
I must have been born old then because my hands have always gotten cold easily. With a midweight glove on in 30 degree weather my hands will turn red in short order. Feet are the same way. Had circulation checked and the Dr said it was good. There is a condition that I forget the name of but I reckon I may have it. I am envious of folks that dont have to deal with this nonsense.

This reminds me, are you taking those meds like you are supposed to

Same way. I'm the guy whos currently wearing shorts when it 10° out. Doesn't bother me at all. I get cold feet but that doesn't bother me either.
But even in 50° weather my hands turn to icicles. It sucks. I almost never enter the woods without a muff on

New Luepold scopes

New bag from Peax. $625 and not sure what I think of it yet.

That seems a little rich for a 15 degree bag. I need to go to the site and look a little closer.

So after looking at it on the site, it is actually quite an interesting design to a bag. Would be hard for me to justify the cost for the amount of use it would see but if I used a bag more, I might be inclined to save up for one.
