2024 TAC schedule

Looked it up after @Bigterp mentioned it. Would be good for me to do it. Will I loose arrows? I would hate to loose my FOC builds. Would it be worth getting a dozen off the shelf ones to use?

@woodsdog2 & I discussed the alternate build for Tac to no end last year. I finally settled on getting another dozen match grade eastons & setting them up the same as my hunting arrow. Just praying I wouldn’t lose too many. My thought was this I practiced a lot leading up to the shoot & didn’t want to resight my bow just trying to shoot flatter & save a buck. I shot a 110yd elk target with a heavy arrow & only lost 2 all day.

I had a bunch of old beat up GT hunter shafts .400 spine I used and I lost more than two but not many more. Started with 19 arrows and came back with 15. I shot two courses and BMRC and RMEF and it was fun. I did put zingers on my shafts because most of the fletching was in bad shape on those old arrows.

I would love to go to a TAC. For whatever reason the dates just never work. I need to make more of an effort to go this year. Everyone that goes seems to love it.

I've got a buddy going to beavers bend, I just can't bring myself to burn a weekend during turkey season.

There's some folks doing oklahoma specific TAC style events. Their tulsa event doesn't line up for me of course.

If the turkey population around broken bow is now what it was in the early 2000's I'd totally take a week off before the shoot and try to hammer an oklahoma eastern like I used to do every year.
