I bought these pin-on leaves years ago. I stopped using them when I was able to afford a leafy suit some years back. But today I decided to put them on my back-country backpack. The bag is not camouflaged. So I put these leaves on it. I thought I would605CF924-1B54-4C0D-97AA-90FF02DC18C9.jpeg92943FBB-7E38-4481-8D50-0C0BC1A449C3.jpeg605CF924-1B54-4C0D-97AA-90FF02DC18C9.jpeg92943FBB-7E38-4481-8D50-0C0BC1A449C3.jpeg share the idea in case somebody else would like to do this. I’m not even sure you can still buy these leaves.

I was looking at Backpacks on Amazon the other night that open all the way up for Airport security (TSA rated). just to get me by this year so I can get a CAYS backpack from Trophyline in the future. There are quite a few out there that may work but they of course aren't camo. This would be a cheap way to get a pack for cheap to do what I want it to do for this year.
Thanks for sharing. I was wondering how I could camo up a black backpack without having to sew/add more weight.

This is interesting. I have an all black 31L osprey pack that has a helmet pocket - it carries my platform/layers/ gear well and hangs well in tree but it's not camo. Doubt the deer even notice just gets in my head that it's a solid color.
It was free from work. So ... I haven't splurged on a designer camo bag yet.
Was thinking of a ASAT type spray paint job.

A neat idea I've used for spray paint camo is to put a few leaves on the surface and spray paint over and around them. Take the leaves off and the shape is still there. In other words, use leaves like stencils.

I have a very similar bag. Im going to cut up some cheap camo ground blind and hang it over my bag. Worst case use and old camo tshirt and cut it to fit over it.
