Gray, only used once. Work great, I just went with 1/8 cause I'm fat. Each is 6ft long.

Looking for trades.

Go 1/4” trust me from experience. Better safe than sorry

Yeah that doesn’t account for bark on a tree. Lucky for me I was 8’ up and 30 yrs old so I caught myself. There is so many other factors other then just the breaking strength. That is why everyone uses 1/4” or bigger. I saw the video on YouTube with the 7/64” so I gave it a try but I have since went to 1/4” and no daisy chain. It may be as strong as steel BUT IT AINT STEEL. Just saying. It’s not worth the little bit of weight and money saving

What’s the bark have to do with anything?? I haven’t seen anyone make a daisy chain with 1/4 so idk where you got that?

1/4” I’m referring to is using it the normal way around the versa button. Loop it and half hitch. Bark is abrasive. Not to sound like a **** but if you or anyone wants to use it knock yourself out. I was try to warn y’all that it broke on me so clearly it’s not the safest choice.

Easy fellas! I appreciate everyone's input. I'm at a happy middle spot using 1/8th daisy chain. Tried the 7/64th and was a bit of a mental thing looking down and seeing that small diameter, but understand its plenty strong enough. Also tried the 1/4 inch amsteel for the regular rope mod, but for my big arse, it slipped. So, 7/64th is up for trade to whomever is not phyc'd out by it. Oddly enough, I'm fine using 7/64th as a back up linemans for light work like going around branches.

Turkeyslayer7, sounds like a hairy fall. Glad your able to share it!
