The one I've had for years i found in an abandoned scale house that my really old uncles owned. They're all dead and gone. They were coal miners.
Anyway, when I found that hard hat it still had the doo-hickey that held a carbite lantern and the webbing liner inside was like some old canvas? It was soo old that I was able to tear it all out with hardly any effort. I rigged a new liner fot it...
