I’ve got a dinosaur bridge by now…and I will likely not want another style. stock AeroHunter sewn milspec webbing bridge with carabiner on one side and triglide for adjustability it’s smooth as butter through a carabiner and the stitching is incredible. I keep the bridge as short as possible for climbing, then extend once at height. I could probably do just two fixed bridges and swap at the top too.

That’s a selection but maybe not amsteel as prusik is what you mean. Sewed eyes? Ive been thinking about this one hard but not sure about rope bridge.

I would like something easily adjusted so I can wear it over my neck to walk. Can't keep my belt tight enough to hold saddle up.
 
Redundant 11mm bridges. People think they need to constantly adjust their bridge because their saddle has the feature. You truly don't IMO.

Since OP asked about Amsteel:

Contrary to popular saddle hunter belief, Amsteel is not designed for climbing applications or life safety. Great product for what it's intended for, but you won't find any industries pimping it as bridge or tether material.IMG_7268.jpeg
 
I run a fixed 30" Amsteel bridge when I'm climbing/rappelling. Once I'm setup on my platform I swap my linesman's belt (Canyon Elite with two carabiners one fixed and one adjustable with a Ropeman 1). I typically run this bridge at a length of 36-37" but that can vary depending on the setup (i.e. lean of the tree).

I like the shorter bridge for climbing and a longer, adjustable bridge for comfort while sitting. Since I'm already carrying a lineman's I swap it in for my bridge while there and swap back to the fixed bridge when ready to rappel. The fixed bridge just hangs out of the way in my lap during the hunt.

Amsteel as a bridge just seems standard now. Do you have any threads or sites I can read up on this?

It is because it's marketing. I have yet to find a rope access harness or arb saddle with an Amsteel Bridge.

They state it's a weight savings and stronger. Leading the consumer to think it's abrasion proof and vastly lighter than rope. It actually wears worse than climbing rope and isn't much lighter at the lengths we use

You also need a little elongation for comfort. Amsteel offers almost none compared to climbing lines. Probably why those with Amsteel bridges keep adjusting them :)

It's awesome stuff for what it's intended though.
 
I guess my bridge isn't cool enough to make the list to vote on. It's just 9mm HTP that adjusts on one side with a prusik. It is what came with my Overwatch Transformer. 3 seasons and it still looks brand new.

Hahaha it’s super cool. I can’t believe how many different options there are which is why I started the thread and poll. Do you have a sewn eye on one side or is it figure 8 opposite the prusik?

Just watched a bunch of videos from “Hownot2highline” about amsteel and the climbing applications they use it for. Gotta say the results from the no stretch and bad bury issues were eye opening. They didn’t have anything break below 40kn which doesn’t scare me but that bury releasing if not don’t properly of deep enough is crazy. What’s a guy to do? I was leaning towards the triad with resc tech and amsteel schwabish on both sides…now I’m torn. No pun intended. Would you think a couple of sewn eye hollow blocks are better for that connection?
