What's going on Tethrd Nation? We've got some good news, some bad news, and then some better news. Let's start with the good news.

We are finished testing the Mantis Saddle...for now!!!! We were able to finally get it in the lab after multiple delays and get an idea about just how strong this thing really is. The Mantis pulled to just over 3,000 lbs before it broke the machine. Yup, that's right. The Mantis broke the pull test machine. The Mantis is so tough, so strong, so brutal, so herculean that IT BROKE THE PULL TEST MACHINE!

So the good news is, we're happy enough with the 3k pound rating to get the Mantis in your hands. The bad news is we don't yet know just how strong this thing really is. We expect it to pull at over 5,000 pounds, but we have to find a new testing facility. However, we don't believe you guys (and gals) should have to wait for us to find a new test facility. We've signed off on the test results and are expecting final production line Mantis saddles to begin rolling in. Just as soon as we have those, we'll box them up and ship them out.

And the better news...we have our first run of Predators complete and assembled! Ernie and his minions have been working their fingers to the bone to get the greatest platform the world has ever seen ready for the Tethrd Nation. The Predator truly is amazing, but we know as soon as you maniacs get it in your hands, you'll come up with creative ways to make it even BETTER! If you only ordered a Predator platform, those will go in the mail starting next week. If you ordered a Mantis as well, your Predator will ship with your Mantis.

We've said it over and over again because it's true: there's no way any of this could happen without your support. We're getting encouraging emails, and private messages, and notes on social media every single day. It means the world to us that the Tethrd Nation has our back. We're truly doing everything in our power to create the best saddle hunting equipment in the world and get it in your hands as quickly as possible. Stay tuned for the next update and shipping notices for those of you who have a Predator on the way.

I don’t know how exactly they conducted their pull test. I have a 5k and 20k scale at work. Bring a 3-5 ton chain hoist and we can see what it breaks at in about 20 minutes.:smilingimp: Just saying.
And great job building a quality product.

Another distraction guys. Fishing was off at Hatteras Point this week. All the rain they had really messed with it.

We ended catching a bunch of whiting (you southerners call them sea mullet)which I will smoke for dinner tomorrow.
We Southerners call mullet, redfish bait.

To everyone who put there blood, sweat, and tears into bring this company and these products to us in such a short amount of time...............Thank You! I think what y'all have done is nothing short of amazing. I understand what it takes to run your own business. I also understand that things don't always go the way you would like. I think y'all have done an amazing job engineering, designing, building, and bringing to market a hunting system that will far surpass anything else available, from any other company, in the entire world. And y'all did all this while we sat behind our computers, or with our faces glued to our phone reading about a product that y'all made a reality. Y'all are first class in my book!

When will I receive my gear?
We're taking delivery of inventory just as soon as our manufacturers pull it off the assembly line. If you ordered before mid-June, you will be in the first batch of shipments. We expect for most of you to receive your items by mid-August. If you ordered after mid-June we expect most of you to receive your items by the end of August. Based on our supply chain, we expect to be caught up on orders by the end of July.

The testing slipped an additional week. Assuming the same timelines, add 1 week to shipping update #2. Here it is again:

Shipping update #2
Happy Friday!

Here is another update for Tethrd Shipping. Our strength/safety testing is scheduled to begin at 2 PM CST. We're hoping to have the results by the end of the day Friday (July 27), but it may be Monday before we receive the final report. We'll keep you posted.

Once testing is done, we can begin shipping. THAT DOES NOT MEAN everyone's packages will go out the day after testing is complete. Inventory is still rolling in and we can only ship so fast. Ernie is working harder than a 1 legged man in a butt kicking contest to get everything shipped, but we would appreciate a little (more) patience as we get through this process. 99% of you will still have your items before hunting season.

Let me answer some of the questions that seem to come up a lot.

Why did you say items would ship mid-July if you couldn't do it?
That's a fair question. When we started the process back in May, mid-July fit our timeline to finalize manufacturing and testing. It also meant hunters could have the new system in their hands well before the season to get familiar with the setup. As we continued through the manufacturing and testing process, we ran into a few snags that delayed shipping. Almost all of them dealt with supply chain issues or safety double checks. I promise we've done our best, but we're not perfect and neither are the partners we're working with.

Will you send tracking information?
Yup. As soon as we box your items up, we'll email you the tracking information.

I never received an email from you.
Check your spam folder. But I suppose if this email is in your spam folder, you wouldn't be reading this anyway...

Why is Ernie so much better looking than Greg?
We'll leave that up to you to decide.

We've been as upfront, transparent, and communicative as we possibly could throughout this process. If you're not getting the information you need, please reach out to hello@tethrdnation.com. Please be patient as we're sorting through a LOT of correspondence. Also, make sure to check the facebook page and the SaddleHunter.com forum. We're making updates there as well.

Thank you again for joining us on this journey. We can't wait to put this stuff in your hands. You're going to LOVE IT!!!!

Yeah that’s what I was thinking. My order dates were May 30 on the saddle and June 6 on the platform. Hopefully that will get me into the first round of shipments.

I hear all the guys worried about delivery and opener dates but - its been said before - if you were here a year ago waiting on your kestrel you didn't have it to hunt with for part of the season. Some of us missed 2 months. They didnt even pre-order til August. Not knocking AeroHunter - love my kestrel - but Greg and Ernie are well ahead of planning for this even with setbacks. They accounted for that clearly - it won't take long to figure out.

Even if a few weeks behind its not a huge deal to me.

The concept design, prototype process, testing & release to market is the fastest I’ve ever heard of in the hunting industry.

Just like with the Kiwi group, these quality products are worth waiting for.

And in the mean time I’ll just be killing deer the same ways I’ve killed them in previous yrs.

Thanks Tethrd for all of ur innovation & efforts!

Hold up, you mean you've been killing deer WITHOUT a mantis?! Come on now, whose leg do you think you're pulling?

LOL & with climbers mainly.

Mantis & Predator are primarily for quieter setting up & to save my back during long walks thru swamps & uneven terrain.

Most of my kill trees aren’t gonna change.

Of course Tethrd will also open up some new alternatives to previously unhuntable trees that & some trees very close to bedding.

Gonna be a fun season.

The wait will be worth it. I promise.

Yeah Buddy! If I don't get one soon before WV bow opener, you're going to have to force me to take FlinginSomeArrows, lol. But seriously, I want some sharks with laser beams attached to their heads.

Called mullet supper Friday night.
I don't know, according to @huck72412 you're a different breed of Southerner. Seriously I've never eaten mullet before never even heard of anybody around here eating mullet. The only thing I've ever heard of using mullet far as cutting it up and using it for redfish bait. But probably like a lot of fish that's some say are not worth eating others eat it and it's probably better than what you think.
Dadgum is this thread back on fish again it really has taken a lot of turns! Okay I'll turn it back over to the super paranoid, overly anxious delivery date discussion
