Why even bring it up. Let me give you some advice.
This weekend I went clean up after the framers on my house. I been eyeing the new Mikita 36v blower since I have a bunch of Mikita tools already. She wanted to come along. I brought the old gas blower that is really a piece of junk. I got busy doing tractor work and gave her the blower to blow out the basement. Of course I did this midday. Full sun. She lasted less than 10 min. She said that blower was junk!
Did I tell her I was looking at a new blower?
NO! Your 1st mistake was giving too much information years ago.
I just agreed with her (they like that)and when I got home I ordered it. When she finds out I got a new blower, I’ll tell her it was her idea.
See, it’s simple!
You sir are a genius!!!

I've tried the medium and large. I could probably wear the medium early season but the large just fits me much better. I'm expecting the XL will be too big because its meant for the bigger guys but I'll still try it out at some point.

And I don't like little debbie's, I have "cheeseburger breath" like @BassBoysLLP lol. I'm also "big boned" :p I have the same build as my father and brother, but they are 6'1" and 5'11" and I stopped growing at 5'7"!!!

Red What is the sizing based on? Height, Weight, waist? I'm 6' 195lb 34" waist. I'm usually a large for most things. Does that sound about right for this saddle?

Note to self: never take @ImThere to a secret hunting spot. Loose lips sink ships!
LOL My wife is my best friend there isn't much i don't share with her.
I learned for other people that the fastest way to divorce is money problems. So we don't keep any secrets in that department. before i spend any considerable money she knows about it I wont spend much over $50-100 where she don't know before hand.
Say what ya'll want but it's worked for us since 1987!

Lol thats cool man! 1987! How old are you, or are y’all brother and sister? It’s possible. Y’all from Tennessee. Lol

I'll let @g2outdoors answer that question but I think a large would fit you pretty well. You are probably pretty similar in size to @BassBoysLLP

My method of getting new gear is to buy everything online. I get as much day to day stuff on amazon as I can so I don't have to go to the store. I buy my deodorant and I've even bought ketchup on amazon. Sometimes I get crap for the number of boxes but she has recently taken a page out of my book and does the same, although her boxes of choice are target lol. We both work so IMO we bough get to have our spending money too.

I hate going to stores. It amazes me i work second shift so if i have to go its during the day time. I wonder how come there are so many people not everyone works second shift lol. Too many people and no staffing uhhh a nightmare

I heard G2 say the saddle would be priced to that of a high quality tree stand? Any guesses? Maybe something similar to old Earnie platform and Kestrel?

Most of the people I speak with I think are scared of not being physically on top of something. They don't like the idea of leaning back and being supported by a rope or strap for some reason. Me personally as soon as I found saddle hunting I knew I would be hooked and would fight through any discomfort. It is a little different feeling when you first lean back into it you definitely have to trust the system.

Which is ironic because if you've ever hunted out of a climber you have probably lost the platform at least once...

LOL. My brother in law actually showed me this exact model and told me I needed it for the back of my property just the other day. A little rich for my blood...

Nice twist, I will be more specific in the future when I throw out labels like "king", lol. As long as the "CEO" allows Carl to continue to share his awesome DIY stuff with in-depth write-ups, I will be thrilled! How many folks bought sewing machines after his thread on his DIY Kestrel build?

Personally, I think this is an awesome community of seriously bad ass hunters that I'm thrilled to be a part of, but it is a small community and one of my favorite aspects of this community and this site are the willingness of everyone to share ideas and different projects and ways to tackle similar problems and I'm not gonna lie a business venture that takes a significant part of the experienced community potentially out of that fold does concern me.

In the long run, I hope it won't make a difference as it looks like everyone is going to buy a mantis and a predator anyway, lol, I'm super pumped for you guys, I hope it all works out, although I will continue to use my sitdrag and fleece saddles with a rock climbing harness, just too many other things that I need.....and I'm cheap, lol.

I thought about a sewing machine and quickly realized it would not get used much - I just don't have the time - so instead I literally just paid a sweet little old lady to sew molle loops and a belt onto the sitdrag I bought from @huck72412 at Saddlepalooza (to pair up with the RCH I bought from @Erniepower on that same trip - hmmm insider trading for sure!!!!) - I paid this old lady more to do that than I paid Huck for the sitdrag LOL. Plus I had her sew molle loops on some fleece bags I had that should be a perfect size for tethers and LB. I literally dropped all this off to her and 2 days later @Ihaveasecrt starts showing up and Sys Haulers show up, etc........ all good though. I'm now building my land of misfit toys like the elders here.

There comes a time in every man’s life that he needs an emergency slush fund. Yup, build it up slowly even if it is only $25.00 per pay check. Don’t use that money for anything other than for hunting or an absolute emergeny. If the car breaks down or refrigerator dies. Do not touch it for things you can actually live without. Depending on how get paid whether it once a week or twice a month you could have $600.00 - $1200.00 in it. After 5-10 years of doing this $3000.00 - $12,000.00 in your fund. Remember, that it is your emergency fund. Braces for the kids are not an emergency, nor is the bald tires on your truck. ;);)

yep - best practice. I put 100 a paycheck in it - goes towards lease payments too. So every time I buy something wife says "it's coming out of your hunting fund". But I sneak a few past the goalie occasionally :)

My wife grew up with a dad that hunted and fished, and she hunts and fishes herself. So it makes it easy to justify leases and money for properties. I love playing golf, but her dad didn't play so justifying golf expenses is a fight that i don't even start. Im just happy to have someone who is a great wife and mother. She is more likely to wear rubber boots or waders on the weekends than high heels.

SHe bought me a kestrel for christmas, so i am going the route of "You need a saddle too" for the mantis

There is a major advantage to having a wife that hunts. She doesn’t care what I buy for hunting as long as I’m not going to have any major advantage over her, to harvest deer. The funny part is, she told me she is not gonna hang like a monkey in a tree. She is leaving that “Monkey Buisness” to me. Oh how she has no clue, what she is about to miss out on. I wonder when she will catch on! I bet by mid November she is begging me for a Saddle.
