13 years ago I helped pull him into this world. He has been a loyal loving friend since. This is Dennis one of 6 pups our female had. We kept him and his brother George. We said good by to George a year ago almost to the dayDennis gave up. He has lost his back legs. He is in no apparent pain with a cold wet nose ,eating and drinking but unable to walk. He 'IMG_20190424_143930_hdr.jpgIMG_20190424_143912_hdr.jpgs brought us much joy and love but tomorrow we say our last good bye. Today he has one more sunny day to enjoy lifes warmth Thank you for all the love.

Thanks for sharing one of life's sweet & difficult moments. Dennis sounds like an awesome pal. What a great thing is the relationship between a dog and its humans.

Thank you guys..this is really a tough one, having assisted in his delivery, helping to clean him and raising him to be the gentle giant he is. He and his brother were 120 and 130 most of there lives. It takes a toll on their hips especially in older dogs. George had a spinal tumor. I have had several shepherds in my life from a baby till now. Wonderful breed

We had to put are 16 year old beagle Maxine or Max as we called her down a year ago. She was a good pup all her life and well really miss her. Some times I come home and look for her to come running to meet me. Sorry to hear about Dennis but you will always have good memories of you pup.

Sorry to hear that. Dogs' only real fault is that they don't live long enough.

I know the day is coming with my old girl and I'm dreading it.

Our black lab Shadow just turned 16 last month, and she's got very bad hips as well. I've taken to having to carry her up and down the steps, as she tends to slip and fall down a lot lately.
She shows absolutely no sign of pain, and she makes it around the yard at her pace. Not sure what the future is going to hold here...
Prayers out for you going through this difficult time, God bless.

Sorry to hear about Dennis. been there myself, It's a painful thing to have to go through.
