Acorn crop 2019

After two years without acorns, our oaks are loaded and ready to explode. While it does open additional hunting areas, it is a curse by allowing many more movement patterns and uping the odds in a buck's favor. How is it looking in your part of the country?
Southern NJ Oak Leaves are dropping, acorns are next. My house is located in an oak grove with about 20 house eating trees within about 5 ft of the house. The does are already running through the yard looking for them mostly around 9-10 pm and 2-3 am.

Chestnut and red oaks dropping here in NW NC. Nothing under the white oaks yet and they appear to be pretty bare but..I didn't bring bino's so can't really confirm.

Got a ton of acorns here in Central Michigan, though we have mostly reds where I’m at, with some whites scattered throughout.

I checked the hazelnuts they are all packed and the hickory s are too. Between all the food and this being a year of spikes and yearlings....hunting will be tough.

Yeah here in Northern Virginia I've noticed the whites are dropping early, reds have some. Gonna be a weird season. Late season spots might not work this year

Here in Central Virginia, the Red Oaks are dropping nice but a lot of the white oaks are looking slim. Chestnuts are doing well too.

Went in the woods this weekend in the NC mountains and the red oaks were dropping constantly, the white oaks were not.

Same on my place in Ashe County. Red and chestnut oaks have a good crop but not the northern white. But...I didn’t bring my binos, it’s possible the upper canopy had some hanging. They usually start dropping by mid September on our place.

my yard is all red oak and they have been dropping all summer. Tiny ones. Now, the big boys are dropping - the largest I've seen is the size of a quarter. I have 4 does browsing my yard regularly.

Been scouting multiple different land parcels in Oklahoma and have found a great crop of acorns. I have mostly been checking white oaks and have found good crops, I have also noticed the red oaks are producing as well. Doesn't seem to be a shortage so far but I haven't noticed the ground littered with them yet in southern Oklahoma. Some are dropping but the largest quantity seemingly remain on the trees.

The white oaks are still locked and loaded here, just a few green ones on the ground due to wind. The first week of October here will likely be raining acorns.

Scouted & set up mock scrapes mid-day and hunted in the evening in north-central MN this last weekend. The white oaks had lots of acorns and deer are feeding on them through out the woods. Seems to have spread them out and it's harder to pattern them - they don't seem to be coming to the fields to feed like they usually do this time of year. Had a nice buck following my scraped line but he busted me from 75 yds away when I moved suddenly. Only the 2nd evening hanging n my new DIY saddle and I think I'm going to really enjoy hunting this way.

In my area reds are looking good and dropping now as well as willows. Whites are a complete dud. Persimmons are absolutely loaded tho!

Acorns were everywhere you looked on the wma i hunted over the weekend..... Made finding the deer difficult
That makes it tough. I always say the deer just roll over and open their mouth on years like that. They don't have to move

I'll get to check my place in western NC this weekend. Unfortunately I won't be hunting early season so it doesn't matter much. I shot a doe off white oak acorns opening week of archery last year, the trees weren't loaded but we did have some.

I’m in Mills River. They have been dropping like rain for two weeks.
