What kinda boots yall wearing with ROS, silent approach dont make my

My feet used to sometimes get a bit tired on the bolts, but adjusting my tether and taking some weight off my feet helps. Try getting down into a deeper seated position. My insulated boots have a heavy sole - they are less of a problem. My Acton uninsulated boots, while awesome, are less rigid.

Yeah, looking for heavy soled insulated boots, I have altra trail runners for pre season that arent terrible.

Go sharks.

I’ve had bolts, screwins and WEI stepps make my feet a bit sore on long hunts with certain thin soled boots. I put superfeet insoles in those boots and it helped a lot. Superfeet are pretty rigid and have a lot of support.

Yesterday’s tip was the advantage of a ROS. Today is the disadvantage of a ROS. No matter what I do I always dribble on my kneecap when I take a pee.

I would think that would be a problem no matter what platform style, but could possibly be avoided by turning to your side. That's what's nice about your bridge being able to slide through your tether biner. You can rotate quite a ways around. Haven't needed to try it myself, yet, but it seems like it would work.

Can you not turn around? I extend my tether just a bit and grab a hold of it and twist my body. Usually 1 heel goes on my climbing stick, one heel on ROS, and then my tether/bridge has me cinched to the tree.
