Hey guys I’m new on here. Been observing from a distance for a while and I’ve caught the diy bug. I have 9 strap on aluminum steps in my garage I’ve been toying around with how to use the bare minimum and get to 16-20’.

Anybody ever messed around with using a single step aider on there steps?

The way I figure is if I use a single step 22” aider on 4 steps I should get close to 15’ or 16’ and then be able to use the rest for ROS platform.

thoughts? Drawbacks? If you know of any threads that discuss this, could you point me in the right direction?

I personally use cranford rope steps and often use a 3 step aider on the lowest step to get some extra height. This year will probably end up using a knaider on some diy strap on steps to get 3-4 feet per step. A thread covered the knaider technique, can’t remember the link or who wrote it though

thanks for the feedback. Seems like packability would be ideal with this climbing method. I’ve hunted my whole life using climbers and I’m trying to find ways to avoid climbing sticks as I get into saddle hunting this season.

Packability is great, even the bulky cranfords all fit in a fanny pack. I’ll admit I do like using sticks every now and then, sometimes I’m fine dealing with the extra weight just for the ease of use
