Alaska guide creations and using a bino harness in the saddle

Do you guys use a harness in the saddle? I’m worried about too much bulk. I think I’d like one more for turkey and rifle hunting but not sure about in a tree. I was looking at the Alaska guide creations. Made in U.S.

I wear one but it does rub on my bridge from time to time. Binos in general are great in the woods. Just having them to “burn through” brush is why I wear them. By playing with the focal plane you can see through brush and get a better look at what normally you could not see bc of what’s between you and your game.

I may end up just hanging them from the tree in front of me.

I've got the cub max from agc and have been trying it in the saddle in my yard, not a fan if keeping it on, just too much stuff there with the bridge and pack, even when i shorten the bridge way up. Just a regular old bino harness isnt bad.

I was not a fan on wearing it with the saddle. I hang it in front of me on the tree. With the bridge there and then drawing it just didn't work out. Its a bummer because I loved wearing it and having everything right there to glass and range.

I haven't tried the AGC harness. I do use an Alpz in the saddle. I use it for every situation except turkey. I prefer just an open shoulder harness for turkeys.

I only use a 8x32 for archery. So my idea is more for the binos, range finder, milkweed. And then maybe a grunt call. But I’ve gotten by for years without one. I’ve even thought like you mostly mentioned about taking it off once in the tree. I know it would be useful for my needs for turkey and rifle. I thought that carrying those hints and maybe my gloves and headlamp, maybe pruners while walking in takes a couple pounds off the back and puts it in front. Aarn makes packs with this concept. Different but not much different.

I have an AGC. it's a really nice rig. I wear it all the time, especially during scout and spot and stalk and turkey season. I have my bino, RF, milkweed, phone, and compass all at my ready. it can be a little cumbersome climbing up the tree and while in the saddle. if I am hunting out of my saddle I just put everything in my pack instead of using my harness.

I'm looking to get the AGC harness for this up coming season. Looks like many people are not completely happy wearing the harness in the saddle. I hope I can make it work.

I hated the AGC kiss. It was monstrous. I prefer a diy rick young harness in the tree or a minimalist full coverage harness like the outdoor vision or adak harness especially for western hunts.

I wore my marsupial harness all year in my saddle with no issues. After using a harness out west it gives me to many advantages not to use it back east in the big woods. I like having a select few items on my chest at all times. I set my tether around forehead high and haven't ran in to any issues.
