So I made it out for my first hunt of the season this afternoon. I decided to go in blind to a spot I had been looking at on the map and I really didn’t want to park my truck at one of my “good” spots on the opening weekend. Anyway, I realized as I was scouting my way in that I might have a problem. Not only was I looking down at the ground and talking to myself, I was also giving myself hand signals. Such as “this looks pretty fresh” while pointing down to the ground. I thought it was funny when I caught myself. Like I really need to point at the sign I’m already looking at. If you point to stuff and talk to yourself when your the only one out there you might be a saddle hunter!

Your just practicing for when you make it to the big time like Infalt and Eberhart :tearsofjoy:
Yeah that will happen in no time with all the big bucks I’ve been dropping the last few years. Haha

I wouldn't talk out loud. You will signal every deer within hearing that you are there.

I talk to my self all the time, some times I answer back some times I don't, but I'm the only person who ever listens to what I have to say. It cuts down on opposing views and arguments. If a man talks to himself in the woods whilst he's alone is he still always wrong?...........I think not.

When I talk (silently) to myself I never hear anyone answering. Is this normal?

I whisper and point out sign to myself soooo much you'd think I was a hunting show host.
