Ambush platform

I have a spare ambush post (it was a replacement for the original crooked posts, sent before we realized I didn't have a crooked post).

I have no more platform, and no more need for the post.

I have added it to a post in the classifieds. Shoot me a PM if anyone building their own is interested.

That looks good hunter! My platform will be here Monday and I'll get started on my new design...

So at $80 for the foot section of the platform, and $299 for the entire factory platform, that makes the post, standoff, and versa $219???

Because WE will pay for it. What WE are willing to pay is what dictates the price in most cases. Think about how much it ACTUALLY cost to makes everyday items. Usually cents on the dollar and we pay horrendous mark ups gladly.
On the other side of that if I am making something for $1 and someone is willing to be $20 for said product, I will sell them all day with a smile on my face.

A platform they can just sell with no assembly and labor. Putting it together takes labor and labor costs.

Agree. Nothing against buying something if you dont want to tinkle yourself. That's how economic works.

The food you eat probably cost 1/10 in ingredients (not even probably if you go to a fast food place).

I mow my own lawn because its better saving long terms and it make sense for my property. But I would have to use my riding lawnmower 5+ years before I save the money it would of cost me to hire someone to mow it. If I( as in the wife) wasn't planning on living here for that long, I would of just hire someone to do it. This does not include all the hours it would saved me.

I found this thread a few days ago and bought the diy platform that day. Thank you OP for pointing this out. It was delivered within 3 days too! I’ve got a slab of aluminum to cut a post from and wondering if anyone can save me the trial and error winging it from scratch. If anyone could provide the measurements in the rough sketch I would be very grateful. Leveling bolt and cylinder specs would also be much appreciated.

Thanks. I really appreciate it. I have no place nearby to check any saddle platform out or anything Gives me something to at least get started with. I’ll update with my results. Gonna be putting the grinder, drill press, and band saw to work.
