Anybody know where I can find a stand-off that fits on the 3/4” ambush post? Or does anybody have an ambush standoff?

I do not have a standoff for the ambush. Curious - are you planning something with the DIY platform? (Asking as I haven't really seen the DIY platform mentioned here before, looks like LWCG is now selling these as a DIY platform.) Could work out well for someone that received a replacement main beam/center post, would just need the standoff.

Makes you wonder why they are really selling the platform as a DIY.

I would say don't worry about the 1/4 spacing so much as it allow for some flexing and pivoting against awkward tree. Some of the sticks and other platform use the same principle and it seem to be fine. I use 1 inch tube with a 1 1/4 standoff and it work great.

idk if this is right, but they appear to be the original platform. I'm guessing these are from the first run that they soon revamped but didn't want to have to eat all of those.

You don't need any particular stand-off. The post is 3/4in wide so a standoff with that size cutout would not allow it to rotate, but any standoff can work. I'll try to find a pic.

Please note, this is with a "recalled" post. I mostly intend to use this around the house for target shooting, etc.
XOP 6-point bracket - not the lightest, but one of my favorites. It is technically for 1-1/4in side post. It will rotate maybe 10* either way.
EWO Alumibutton - great button

Like it, might be something I want to try myself once Father's Day come up. $80 for a platform and finding a post does not sound that bad. So the post seem to angle more than others, have you try using a regular standoff from a stick instead of a platform standoff? or is the length of the post perfect for the angle so that both platform and standoff hit the tree parallelly? Just wondering because I read some people replaced the stock platform standoff with a stick standoff.

See images.

Thanks, that made it very clear. I think I'll try this out as next project. My Klemz been great but I might try a larger platform for late season!
