Its like a magic trick. I had guest over the other night and asked how could I get both sides the same. Slide the sling through the loop and it all looks good till the very end and it pops out untied! LOL It was quite the hit at the party! lol

It's MINDBLOWING! There's no way it can untie itself, right???? But it does.

All hilarious, I have bread stuck in my nose now.

I just overhand loop both sides for my fixed bridge.

Don't feel bad. I did the same thing.

Do the lock stitch. It takes 5 minutes and is recommended by Samson Rope as a way to make a fixed loop.

I noticed zing it is pretty expensive and i honestly only need a small amount to lock stitch with. Any recommendations or ideas?

Use one of the interior lines of paracord. That works too.

For what its worth - If I remember correctly the old Treesuit used a hog ring to ensure the rope splice didn't move.

Yes. The squeeze of the hollow braid rope is doing all the work...same as a Chinese finger trap. All the lock stitch does is keep the bury from pulling out when it's unweighted.

Yep, I did mine with bow serving material. You could probably do it with thread.
