Amsteel or rope for rope mod?

I didn’t intend to imply that it 1/4” double bury amsteel was more bulky than rope…
With some research, the op could consider a smaller diameter amsteel.

Sure, I just figure if your new this is all overwhelming you could nerd out over specs & options down the road. That option is widely used & readily available, easy to diy & who says he’s gonna keep onesticking anyway. There are definitely plenty of options & everyone has to make their own call on whats the best route for them
 
Why not amsteel? It’s all I use on my sticks and one stick. I’m around 225. It holds like a steel cable.

I am in Texas and all the trees down here have pretty rough bark. Just looks like the bark will shred the Amsteel pretty quick. I’m not sure. I have never messed with the stuff
