Amsteel Rope Mod Question

Has anyone used Amsteel blue 1/8in for a stick rope mod? (Not the daisy chain.) I know the 1/8in is sufficient strength wise, but my concern is the 1/8in big enough diameter to bite into itself so it locks and won't slip. Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks.

I have 1/8" on my sticks now. Packs/wraps smaller than 3/16 obviously but I've found it requires slightly more dexterity to loop/knot. It may just be me and/or the method I use to secure it but... Considering going back to my previous version of 3/16. 3/16 or 1/4 are just easier to work with in my opinion.

I am considering going back to ropemods. I was thinking 3/16”. I have used 1/4” and 5/16” in the past. Never tried 3/16” yet.

I wouldnt go thinner. Trying to undo those knots would be a pain… unless it’s 1/8” full bury.
