An Engineer Tackles The Mechanics Of Arrow Penetration (Videos)

I'm not seeing much relation to bow noise vs arrow weight.

Quiet kills no matter the speed.
Thats a fact. The other thing I keep thinking about in these light vs heavy arrow discussions, to some extent it doesnt matter how a bow and arrow combo are setup, there is a time for killing the deer and there are times to wait. Being able to read that only comes from experience and even then we dont always read it right.

I haven't killed that many critters so maybe I just not experienced enough to know any better but here my random anecdotal thoughts.....the strongest reactions I've had when shooting an arrow at critters was when I was set at 70 draw weight shooting faster, lighter weight arrows.....the deer butt on my left and head on the right and when the arrow got there the butt to my right and head to my left.:astonished: Since I headed off the retarded end of thing with stupid weight arrows the critters just don't seem to react as strongly or even react at all. Excluding my last kill, which I accidentally shot in the face, all my deer killed since switching over to ludicrous weight arrows have acted like they got a bee sting...2 or 3 bounds and stop to look around....then they get dizzy and fall over...but the real eye opener to me is this.....1 kill there were 8 deer all inside bow range. Shoot 1 and the others don't run away...and shooting at pigs with a sounder of 10-15 of them inside bow range and i get to shoot at 3 of them and had to stand up and make a rukus before they all run off.

Yes, my bow makes noise.
Yes, my arrows make noise. But the noise they making isn't scaring off the animals that hear it too....the frequency/pitch/tone/volume isn't "scary" enough to make other animals run away. What's up with that? Imo that is a huge advantage.
My hunting partner hit a limb and sent the arrow straight thru gut but the deer doesn't run off and he's able to nock another and deliver a 2nd fatal arrow. I don't think a computer simulation/program can account for these types of things
