Hey guys! Im from the Lehigh Valley area of eastern Pa. I don’t have any parts of a saddle hunting setup but I’ll be buying them piece by piece to be ready for later this season or next year. And Im going to come clean for a minute, every time I’ve seen saddle hunting before I was like “how is that comfortable”, “that’s too much work”, blah blah blah but now I’ve been hunting public ground, one of my stands are 1.3 miles back into public land and carrying my LW hang on back into there is not an easy task. And they are on the light end of the treestand spectrum but nowhere near what a saddle weighs as you guys know. SO I’m here to learn and be educated, I’ve learned a lot in the last 2 weeks on here and from guys on YouTube, between The Hunting Public, NutterBuster and Catman, They’ve really opened my eyes to the saddle hunting life and I’ll be around for awhile.
Thanks,
Dorian

Welcome! Best hunting decision you'll make!! I'm so glad I made the switch 5 years ago. It opened up so many hunting spots that a stand would have never worked. There is a wealth of information these days between this forum and youtube

Welcome from SE PA. It is comfortable since you can sit, lean, stand alternately. I like to swing back and forth a bit. I was going to mention it here after my tree hang today. I suspect there are more closet swingers out here but I don't recall ever reading it. :grinning:

Welcome from the Pocono area! More than happy to share my setup and help you get launched.

I will definitely take you up on that in the coming weeks for sure. As I’m typing this from the seat of a treestand.
