Anyone already spend their father's day money they haven't gotten yet?

I'll get a morning to myself....our quotas will be released by then and if I drew a hunt ill spend that morning scouting and maybe I can convince my son to go with me....that would make for a nice day as.long as he didn't complain the entire time.....catch 22 situation

Father's day 2021, my youngest daughter received her "grow with me" bow. Father's day 2022, my oldest daughter received her "grow with me" bow. They like shooting and hunting with me, eventhough it sounds like a brigade on a road march.... But we have fun and my wife authorizes reasonable expediture related to archery.

I'll be ordering the 2200 as soon as it comes out. Maybe the crib panel too.

I buy my own Xmas/Bday/Father's Day/etc gifts for the most part...that way I get want I want and am never disappointed. Drives my wife crazy! :tearsofjoy:
I'm mean sometimes. My wife is very OCD about Christmas, she put numbers on all the presents for a master list and everyone has their assigned wrapping papers so they don't accidentally open someone else gift. Last year I open a present that was addressed to me. She was so confused because she had no idea where it came from. I actually stole some of the wrapping papers designated for me and wrap a present I got HER in it. I would open it and act really happy, saying:

"Yes, just what I wanted. Now I can stop listening to you whining and hinting to me that you want one for the last year! Here you go!"

she put numbers on all the presents for a master list and everyone has their assigned wrapping papers so they don't accidentally open someone else gift.

I do the opposite, I never put labels, names or numbers on Christmas prezzies. I typically pick a wrapping paper or ribbon color or some such for each recipient, but never tell anyone what that year's "system" is. So everyone is afraid to open anything since they don't know who's it is. LOL

I do usually give my wife a list of things I might want and promise not to buy them before Xmas.....since she always complains that I just go buy what I want and she never has any good ideas. :tearsofjoy: That being said, we typically buy joint presents for the house and such instead these days.

One other thing I do is I keep a "gift list" for everyone I buy prezzies for....family and close friends, and even my employees. When someone mentions something they really like, I add it to the list. Being in the tech biz, these lists are in the cloud and accessible from any device, from phone, tablet, laptop or workstation. Often I'll see something perfect and will buy it (already have a bunch of xmas prezzies stashed in the closet) and record that I bought something in that person's list. When a birthday or holiday comes by, I have a list of good ideas queued up (and maybe already purchased) for everyone. Makes gift buying a lot easier and ensures the prezzies are really appreciated. YMMV

This is brilliant

My kid (now 28) always buys me beer. This past Christmas, I got him to switch that up and get me a good Irish pot-stilled single-malt whiskey instead.

He got me a nice 12-year old Red Breast. Very tasty.

Who says kids can't be trained as they get older? LOL

But not sure what might arrive for Father's Day this year. Maybe I'll get really lucky and get beer AND whiskey!

My birthday and father's day are a week apart. I'm also solo now and my kids are young so doubt I'm getting much from others for either, so have been debating driving up to Lancaster and buying myself a new compound after testing a few out, vs buying myself a 300 win mag for Alaska/western hunts in the future. I go back and forth but leaning new flagship/last years flagship bow more and more... Decisions, decisions... Lol

Lancaster Archery, have you been before?

I'm wondering what the experience is like. I've been perusing bows the last couple of years and my brother is also interested but doesn't have any good bow shops nearby. We've talked about meeting up at Lancaster and spending a day trying all the new bows.

My wife asked me what I wanted for Father's day and I said nothing. A few days later I made the mistake of trying on a pair of Crispis after finishing a 4 hr Total Archery Challenge course. All I can saw is WOW are they comfortable. Needless to say I bought my Father's day present.

I’ve got a pair of Nevadas coming tomorrow. I told my wife they were my Father’s Day gift, hoping that would keep her from going out to spend the equivalent of my new boots on herself. We’ll see if it works.

My daughter also texted me last week and asked what I wanted for Father’s Day at the exact moment I happened to be looking at a Mule bag for my MR frame on sale at Black Ovis. I told her I’d take care of it and to get with her brothers and PayPal me some money. She seemed happy with that solution.
So my Father’s Day gifts are done.
