I'm nowhere near braving enough to do it myself. But I was wondering if anyone have done it or had it done by a shop? Worth it compared to spray paint job? See actual performance being affected?

I know it has been done before. But I recently heard that they offers air cure formula which does not requires oven treatment, which is appealing to me.

Don't know why you would.....bows don't rust. Cerkote is for resistance to oxidation. You could just as well have it film dipped. I have had an ilf riser dipped in Predator. Looked great.

hmm... good suggestion. Thank you. Did you dipped it yourself?

No I did not. Neil Whitaker of DipItIn. He's in Delaware. He did my old 870 in Cerkote Glock tan with Bottomland stock and forarm as well as the bow riser. Top notch.

Did my traverse the other day with Skip at Blue Ridge in upstate SC. Fantastic job and with it to me… it was red.

I had my Gillo Ghost riser Cerakoted two years ago in OD green, which is a color not offered by the factory. A local guy who specializes in coating handguns did the work and it turned out great. Personally, I like a flat Cerakote finish better than film dipping, however, if you like a wide assortment of camo patterns to choose from, film dip is probably what you want.

I can't recommend Darin enough! Great work, great customer service, very detail orientated. He did every surface including inside of the sight ring!!! (Helps hes an archery guy too, so he knows what to do).
