Ended up getting a camera arm recently to use when I take people out. I have used my iPhone or a cheaper video camera in the past.

I have a Cannon Rebel T7i that I use for videoing/photography when hiking, vacation, etc.. it shoots great quality images and video.

The only “issue” with it is that I haven’t found that you can zoom via remote control since the zoom is done by using the lense.

Wanted to see if anyone else used a DSLR and if they had any tips/tricks.

I use a SL3. You can’t use a remote control for canon dslr cameras. Filming is tough without a remote control, you have to manually zoom the camera. I’ve gotten into using manual focus as well so I don’t get the AF sounds.
