Anyone get a LWCG 0.5 stand yet?

For those that got your stands already. When did you order yours? I ordered July 2 and haven't got a shipping notification yet.

I also ordered a second.5 on 7/26/20 but I didn’t received a shipping notification on that one yet.

Sounds good. I'm hoping this week I'll get a tracking number. My season opens next weekend so I'm wanting the stand bad.

I feel your pain bud and I hope they get it to you soon! Your gonna love it! This little thing is quickly becoming my favorite setup to date. I got mine wrapped in paracord last night and am counting down the minutes untill October 1!

For the guys that have used the lwcg slayer tape what are your thoughts ? In comparison to stealth strips....
I have a .5 on order and that’s really the last item that I need to purchase and I am really on the fence.

I’ve used a lot of both slayer and stealth tapes and the stealth strips def have a better adhesive but the slayer is waterproof and doesn’t hold scent... this has lead me to call it a draw... I like the slayer material better so that’s what I put on my 1.0 and .5 stands then wrapped in paracord so I didn’t have to worry about it comming off. With either making sure you clean the surface with alcohol is key...

Got my .5 yesterday, finally. Hung it in a couple trees. It's sturdy. I'm pretty jazzed, this thing is the ticket. Platform size, seat height, it's the exact specs I would have designed myself and have been yearning for. Now setting out on the journey to outfit it with the best backpack suspension ever affixed to a treestand-platform-positioning aid-thing.

Kifaru or EXO straps and waist belt? Or maybe a full on frame lol? All kidding aside, hearing you got one of these, and like it, makes me think I really missed the boat and should get on the train. I really like the specs on it - exactly what I would design if I had the skills, but haven't bought it for personal reasons that don't really make sense anymore...

Can't wait to hear how it does for you this season.

All options are open, paying that much for a stand I am going to do what I can. I'm not much for sewing but I know a local shop that ultimately I'll probably engage to polish whatever I land on.

This season will be a lot of testing before I settle on a solution. I've done a lot of beer brainstorming already but I realize the limitations of any design that hasn't seen the field in all conditions.

I know these things:

Any additional frame is duplicitous. No thanks. Not happening.

It needs padding. Ok for light loads but right around the 20 pound mark is when I start to feel like I am carrying a cheese grater. Easy problem to solve.

I really just want solid attachment points which leads to the structural integrity of the suspension system. The Molle solution is fine but falls far short of peak performance mostly due to this limitation. I've hauled enough jerry rigged treestands to know there is a better way. This is where the most customization comes into play.

Once I master those basics really want to incorporate more load lashing options. I'd like to get to the point where I can pack a whole deer out like my western style packs have.

Got mine on Thursday. Added some soundbarrier tape,a thirdhand bow holder and a doyles gear hoist.

I’ve been contemplating getting a third hand and mounting it in that same spot but was worried it would be cramped... how does it feel to you? And do you recommend it? Tks

I think its fine. My leg does rest against the bow and I have my left hand on the grip ready to grab it. I do the same on my old assault.

That’s all I needed to hear lol I think I’ll give it a whirl! Tks!

I've gone back and forth with mine. When I first got it I was elated with mine. Then I did a 3 hr observation sit with it. It definitely feels cramped. The platform could use 4 more inches in the front. But my main grip is the seat size. It def gets uncomfortable pretty quick. It's going to be a stand I have to stand up on every hr or so to get blood in my legs

Did my first sit with mine yesterday. I sat 4 hours without standing at all. I was getting a bit sore but not so bad I had to stand yet. I'm 5'8 150lbs I can see bigger guys having issues with the seat size and height.

You will need to replace the hardware on the bow holder to get it to tighten up. I used 10-24 x 1-1/4" stainless machine screws and a stainless lock nut.
