Anyone using the HALFLINE system by NY Saddle Hunter or JRB SRT on the fly this SeAsoN?

Two separate ropes and hitches, or devices, for true redundancy. Tower workers and the like are required to have two separate systems. Arborists in the UK and some European countries are now required to have two attachments to the tree, with one always able to reach the ground.
That’s how I do it once I am at height, I have my tether hooked to my second bridge, and my repel line attached to my main bridge, with my remaining 30 feet of repel lien stashed in my right saddle bag. I guess you could do it with two rebel lines also going up the tree. I haven’t seen anybody do that on YouTube that hunt.

I’m not concerned about it. I feel much safer getting to hunting height with the halfline system than I ever have with sticks and a hang on. I’m 6’8 280# so I’m not little. I’m running an f4 with the CT aider and an 8mm oplux. Every now and then I’ll get to looking at my rope and I ask “why are you worried at all if your truck could hang from this?”

I will be getting a secondary bridge though.

Yes, but it depends on what you want to make redundant?

Where would you start if the starting point is zero redundancy and the goal is 100% redundancy? I’m looking for a line by line like “start here then add this, then this…….”

What are most people doing for redundancy?

Yep, my thoughts exactly. The main reason I've changed, it is the safest feeling way to tree hunt. At my age and health status, I was having a hard time justifying hunting out of trees anymore. Not to mention having a hard time getting up the tree, regardless of safety concerns. Bottom line, when I'm feeling good enough, this is the best and safest system out there I think.
