Arborists Saddle for 50 bucks

Anyone able to hazard an opinion if this saddle would be a good choice for a low cost low risk dry run to see of saddle hunting is for them?
I'm not going to buy as $72 is a bit much for a likely limited use purchase as I am going to be buying a purpose designed for hunting saddle in the very near future.
I have been in contact with TX5 saddles and was told wait 10 days and then contact to place my order, then likely looking at a month or more wait and that's ok as best hunting is now past at least for me. I will do my absolute best to try to use for a late season bow or ML hunt but that will depend on my learning curve mastering using it once I get it.
With shipping for me it'S $71. I will think about it. I don't really need it.

Free shipping on orders over 100$ though.
Get some carabiners or hitch cord or something.

TreeStuff used to arguably be one of the greatest arb suppliers around, small biz built from the ground up with excellent customer service.
They got bought by Sherrill a while back and there have since been many complaints. To date, I have no complaints, but last time I browsed there was tons of stuff that was out of stock.

I’m very sketched out about life support gear made in China, and to a little lesser degree, Taiwan. Notch ( owned by Sherrill/TreeStuff) is trying hard to make a name for themselves. Might not be the best gear around, but I imagine that brand’s reputation would be utterly destroyed if their saddles, hardware, or other tools were having catastrophic failures. I would trust that saddle so long as it passes my inspection. Notch’s goal is safe equipment that’s affordable, and it appears to me that many Taiwan tool manufacturers have stepped their game up a lot in the past decade or two.

Anything with a floating bridge tie in is gonna be light years ahead of the old 4D saddles anyways. Still gonna pinch the hips a little. Might be able to stiffen that buttstrap a little if you’re creative.

Just my .02, as a person who's wasted far too much money and time trying make marginal things work. Save the hassle and buy a good kit up front. If you like hunting from a saddle your set. If you don't, there's a strong used market willing to quickly pick up anything you want to part with.

Well you got me. Ordered two, one for the brother in law and one for me to practice SRT and carry with me when making SRT presets. Thanks for the heads up!

Its fairly comfortable but the buckles are kinda jingly. Feels very safe. A little work on the buckles and it would be very usable for a hunt. Maybe some bike innertube buckle covers are in order.
