It works, i did it before and got an average of 233fps then later took it to a bow shop and they chrono'd the same average speed of 233

The SH Membership has gone live. Only SH Members have access to post in the classifieds. All members can view the classifieds. Arrow FPS with no Chrono

That phone is impressive to stop that arrow with less than an inch of penetration. Mine fall to pieces if you swear during a phone call.This didn't work at all. I must be doing it wrong. iphone halfway to target, right?

Nice I was able to calculate 230 fps with my new 'adult arrows'
I did this last night to compare my new backup bow to my original. My original shoots 274 fps and the new to me one shoots 272. I don't know if I can compensate for that . . ..
Seriously though I shot 4 arrows, two from each bow, at 20 yds right in that "last light" condition and all four were inside the diameter of a golf ball. I honestly can't tell one bow from the other while drawing or shooting.

I guess it doesn’t matter but does shooting indoor or outdoor make a difference?
I wouldn't think so, there may be some slight change due to humidity levels or wind i suppose
