Arrow Rests (Limb Driven)

Vaportrail makes a rubber arrow shelf plate that you can trim to size easily enough. I have one on my Darton Spectra E and has worked great for three years with the VT Limbdriver dropaway rest. Darton's paint/finish is somewhat of a thicker coating that has worn extremely well but it is also quieter than just an adonized or painted handle riser. IMG_8641.jpg

Zero One Actual man..it is exactly as you said. It floats laterally on me pops off that little arrow holder and its about an inch. It mainly messes with my head the launcher always fixes it but man. I assume you just mentally got used to it after that break in period?

That’s exactly what I was saying and yes after those first fifty arrows into a target I didn’t notice it anymore. But again, if you even have a little hesitation mentally, don’t use it. Why bother changing to it if it’s in the back of your head when a monster is at 30yds?

I have only shot about 10 arrows at most with it.

I have had 2 QAD rests quit working after getting wet in a snow storm. I will stick with Hamskea and the better build quality and peace of mind. Not sure if QAD has fixed this issue but I know of others that had the same problem with there’s not working after getting wet.
I felt the same way about the extra wobble but like others have said after shooting it for a bit you don’t even notice it and it always works.

Irishman thanks man, I will hang in there with it then!

While the wiggle room pre-draw can be be a distraction, I've never had an arrow not raise or be out of center with a limb driver. Many years ago I was fortunate enough to test a cable vs limb rest and noticed my groupings, greater than 30 yards, were tighter with the limb driven, so went with a limb driven, a small arrow cradle and like others have mentioned moleskin around the shelf/riser and have not gone back. I'm not sure if it's still holds true but a limb driven rest will hold the arrow just a tad longer than a cable driven, which may increase forgiveness. Always good to shoot what gives you confidence and works for you, good luck!
