Arsenal Platform

Well I was wanting the magnum the first go around, but it was out of stock, and never caught one in classifieds… ordered and loved the RZR 1.0 so much, I got excited and pre-ordered the RZR mag 2.0… like “take my money!”

Agree. At first glance I actually thought the top was tapered

I'm pretty ignorant of all the attachment and cinching methods. Is there a video or something of what you're talking about?

HFAS for sticks, stand, platform.

I searched the forum and couldn’t find any feedback related to the HFAS system from Hang Free. It sounds like it should be a really simple attachment method for climbing sticks, platforms, and stands. Does anyone have any input regarding this product?

Having only used it under "testing" conditions at ground level, I will say I love it! Season was over when I switched to this attachment method. It removes all of the fiddle factor and gets every bit as tight as the original attachment method. (Can't say for certain about the 2.0 version)...

My process is to leave platform folded flat up against tree, and then I cinch up the HFAS as tight as I can by hand and give the platform a firm pull down. I then cam the platform as hard as I can by hand. It usually does the trick. Sometimes that depends on the bark of the tree and has nothing to do with the platform. If there is any pull away up top once I actually put weight onto the platform, I will then toe hook. This will take out ANY slack.

The video at the end of that thread is the way to go. If you’ve already got daisy chains. If not, the USA pro is identical in execution. Pass the tail end through the center prusik, use the loop that creates to cinch it down, put the second prusik with tender over the button and tighten it up and it holds in place of truckers hitch. I leave the loop on the first prusik after first time and it’s ready to go.

Yep! So glad I watched it because I use daisy chains for my sticks right now, and will now use this for my platform. Love the simplicity and light weight aspect.
 
Anyone else buy one and not get a receipt or acknowledgement of order or anything yet? Charged my card, I figured since it was the weekend it wasn’t weird not to get anything from the company, but I didn’t get anything today either. I understand it’s preorder, just figured I’d get something saying we took your money and you’ll get the platform when it ships.

I put my hands on these at the Harrisburg show. very tempting. $270 show price for the smaller one.
