Man you are either very unlucky or very hard on equipment.

I took it out of the box and slapped in on the tree. It was solid but when I moved on it the platform would pop up. So I got off ran that leveling screw all the way in to get a little down angle then got back on it. After a few seconds I heard a pop and looked down and the bracket looked bent. Got off and took the platform off the tree and saw it was broken. From the time I opened the box to it breaking was less than 5 mins.

Or both... I suspected something was up and can appreciate not posting knee jerk until after contacting them.

I thought these were machined? To my untrained eye, that looks like a break how cast breaks. Machined would bend, wouldn't it?

BT

The material around the hole is too thin for the force that bracket sees. They would of been better off simply drilling the hole using a longer bolt instead of sinking it down into the bracket so far. Or… using thicker material. It’s not cast but…. I am not so sure about it being 7075.

Not sure it would have been knee jerk.

I’m for giving companies a fair shake, but what’s the response that mitigates putting this out in public?

Do you have a picture of the modified platform folded up? If I get one, I will likely modify in a similar fashion.
No I didn't take one but it folds the same as the other way. There is one spot that contacts metal since the front slopes away from post and the rubber pads doesn't touch now. That's why I Paracord wrapped the little section in the middle to get rid of that. I can take a pic when I get time if I remember. Stupid busy right now at work and trying to get crops in the ground.

I am happy with my cast xop edge platform and squirrel steps. If I want to go in lite its squirrel steps and 2T/C.

So you didn’t like an Arsenal platform when you tried it as much as you like the XOP Edge?
