Hey - I do this. I even have a Helium bow and I have a really old REI Outlook(?) pack. I will send pics when I get home, but here is my description. The one or two sticks I carry (cut down hawk Helium) and a platform (old lone wolf seat that is modified) go inside pack, along with ropes and binoculars, etc. There’s even room for clothing. The jist of the setup is - I use a caribeerer to attach the top of the bow (where it splits for the cam) to the flimsy top handle of the pack. At the bottom of my pack are two straps that were probably intended to carry a bed roll or something. I wrap them around the grip of the bow. Sure, the bow bottom ends up below my butt when I’m walking, but it is extremely comfortable and I’ve hiked through some thick sticker brush and never had it hang up. I do some stream crossings and it is so nice to be completely empty handed (for balance). When I go “one stick method” my total weight is under 22 pounds - that includes bow (the Mathews Heli-M is a very light bow), platform, stick, range finder, binoculars (one pound), climbing harness, ropes, rain jacket, first aid kit, headlight, hat, gloves, knife, saw, call, pull up rope, kill bag, 8oz filled water bottle, reading glasses. I don’t obsess on the weight too much, but what a difference from my 45 pound setup using a tree stand. And even there, the stand went on my back, the same bag was lashed to the stand, and the bow was then clipped to the back of the bag as above.
