Attachment to gear

The first step is admitting you have a problem.
The second step is building a bigger shed.
The problem is that's where my other addiction lives...boats....lots and lots of boats....

I"ve honestly gotten a lot better. I"m down to like 2 rubbermade bins, plus the guidos and JX3(Thanks to @TNSTAAFL for feeding my habit)that do not fit in the bins..... but I do have 3 hang on treestands at this point as well...oh well, it comes in waves!!!!

Just get the number for @Vtbow and @redsquirrel therapist. Every since redsquirrel introduced him to Vtbow he’s been selling vintage hunting apparel by the truckload.
My name is @redsquirrel and I have a problem....

To answer the OP's question, I just ended up having a bunch of stuff I wasn't using that took up space. There are certain things that do have a certain attachment that I won't sell. My aero hunter evolution is one of them. That saddle with it's adjustments was such a step up over the tree saddle for me and I killed a bunch of deer out of it. I have some items I used hunting as a kid in a bin in the basement.. no one would want those but they have sentimental value.

All of that being said, stay tuned guys, @redsquirrel has more stuff for sale coming soon... :)

I hear ya. My version is that I sell stuff that I think I'm done with and then almost immediately experience "sellers remorse" and wish I still had it.
Strange creatures are we.

Me too. I sold some custom Titanium bolts that I had made for about $20 each years ago. When I went to order them again, they wanted $47 each. That being said, I probably have enough sticks, bolts, ladders and ropes to preset every tree in North Carolina.

If you need help with your addiction I will take some of that gear off your hands to help out a fellow North Carolinian!!! And if anyone else needs help the gear addiction hotline is my phone number just give me a ring and I will help!!!!!

Yep been there done that a million times. The good thing is when you buy it the second time there is a 93.73% chance you immediately realize why you got rid of it the first time and won’t buy it again! It’s those ones you buy the third time that you probably should just keep....

Haha yeah. I don’t know that I’ve gotten to that point yet with any gear. I take it back. I think I did that with my LW assault tree stand. Except 1 go around was a an XOP stand which generally speaking was the same principle. Even though I’m quite into the saddle now, I’m still holding onto that stand.

Seriously though, glad you didn't sell that thing off sir. That thing helped me decide on my very own EVO!

Two boats, a canoe and two campers in my yard and I'm looking at a peddle kayak. I've got way too many things on wheels. They all have their own particular use though . . . at least that's what I tell the wife.

That's nothing ... 6 canoes, 2 sea kayaks, 1 sunfish, 3 zodiacs, a 16ft fish and ski, an outboard powered pwc, and a 16ft 1956 turbo craft jet boat...plus the 1956 woody in storage...I think that's it :)

@boyne bowhunter Make sure you show your wife this post so she knows you're not the only one with the disease.
