Thanks for the link just bought the last one in existence for 15 buckaroos.. I have a carry strap already with cinch buckles maybe LW idk.. I think this will be way easier in the dark. Not sure what he is using but i use this Hawk EZ Sling when I carry my sticks.
EZ-Sling w/ Geartie's
The Carry anything sling! Easily attach to guns, bows, crossbows or other gear without any special hardware. Universal design for a perfect fit.shop.hawkhunting.com
I just sling it over my shoulder and it works pretty good. I use it when I climb too and then it just unclips and goes in my dump pouch on my last stick up. It looks out of stock at Hawk so not sure if its discontinued or what but looks like Farm and Fleet has one on clearance? Ive used mine like 3 years now or so and its held up like its new.

It’s funny how some of us try one thing and accept it as a viable option while the rest of us chase the next, better option. Countless people have went from a stick to a step and back to a stick. What really makes my day are the people that are replacing $15 stepps with $150 mini sticks.

I really liked the stepps. Never found climbing with them slow or challenging. Climbing down and storing them sometimes left me wanting more. If it was cold, rainy, or otherwise nasty weather I would often grab sticks. For me personally it is a balancing act between packability, ease of use and safety. I gave the WE Stepps a good and thorough opportunity. I hunt a TON of evenings after a full day of work, and I'm already tired, sore & beat up on my way in to whatever spot I choose. Scaling the tree was sometimes easy with the Stepps, and sometimes more challenging. My concern was the days when I was already feeling it from work, coupled with the challenging climb, I had the safety concern that descending in the dark, quite possibly in inclement weather with my gear on my back, already tired and sore, and already had a challenging climb, that's when accidents happen. I found myself going back to sticks more & more because I'm very comfortable with them. I'll give mini sticks a fair shot, so far I'm very happy with the package.
@iamcorey Ibpacked sticks when my son or nephews sit with me. They are just easy and simple without the need for directions. I spent most of my season climbing vintage strap on steps, bolts, and aluminum spurs. 12 titanium bolts and a hand drill in a cell phone case makes for an attractive package.
Ill add that if somehow the WE stepps had a cam cleat or even just a versa button, anything to eliminate the need to tie a knot and cam it over, it would be perfect for me...room for both feet, light, quick, compact, and most importantly Kn/Sw compatible. I have considered adding a continuous loop to a squirrel step and use one with a cam buckle every 5 feet. I have the stuff just haven't tried it yet.
