Climbing and pooping type Gear seems pretty much covered. I carry a life straw water filter. Weighs a few oz and gives me comfort when I’m extra far from the truck.

The only thing I bring extra of is an extra flashlight, set of batteries and bow release. The release may seem stupid, but for whatever reason I have left mine at the truck twice the past few years and that walk back just sucks.

Thats definitely a good alternative. Good thinking. I just always had screw ins because they are cheap and readily available.

I carry an extra tether with a foot loop. In case a stick kicks out, I can use it in conjunction with my regular tether to slowly descend down the tree.

Exactly how are you doing this? It’s sound that a really good back up idea.

Put your weight in the foot loop, lower your main tether a bit. Put your weight on the main tether, lower the foot loop a bit. Ad infinitum.

I've also found plenty of those and the old pile of TP I was way to close to stepping in!

I have too many socks without a mate to not carry TP anymore.
Right?? TP in a ziplock bag weighs all of, what, 3oz.? It’s too easy to throw in the bottom of your pack and leave it there. Another great option is a small packet of Wet Ones or small pack of Kleenex tissues. After my cousin mistakenly wiped with a bunch of poison ivy leaves (long, hilarious story for another day), I’ve made it a point to bring that underwear/sock/itch-saving baggie with me any time I go afield or out on a boat.

My kids are messy so I always got a jumbo baby wipes package in my truck for them to clean up hands and face and for me during season...works better than dry paper. Also nice to wipe off your face and neck if it's real hot out....temporarily cools u off

I keep the wipes in a ziplock that also holds my licences so hopefully won't forget

One TP square is all that's needed. Fold in half then in half again then tear the corner off. It leaves a hole in the middle of the square when unfolded. Put finger thru the hole then use finger to wipe. Then use paper around the hole to wipe finger as you pull it out of the paper. Then use the little piece you tore off first to clean under the fingernail and your good to go. Save the planet only use one square per episode.

Leaves of three, let it be. Learn from “my friends” mistake.

Higher than balls on a giraffe. That was funny. I’m gonna use that one!
