Backpack Straps for platform

I need some backpack straps to hook on my platform so I can carry my sticks and platform strapped together. I had them strapped to my backpack, and after I weighed it I was at 25lbs. That’s ridiculous…I stuff to much crap in my backpack, lol. I decided to change to an old Avery duck hunting satchel style bag, that doesn’t have room to stuff alot in. Bass Pro has Muddy straps on sale for like $12. I read some bad reviews that were 4 yrs old. It seems like the new reviews were good. Does anyone know if they are worth a darn? I know it’s only $12 but I don’t want them breaking on me when I need them not to.

I also thought about using some old Avery neoprene gun slings too, but that’s going to take some redneck ingenuity. Plus they aren’t on my shotguns, because they like to slide. Now I’m wishing I hadn’t thrown all of those cheap lock on back pack straps away… those would work, at least until I hit mile 2.

Reviews on store bought straps and other DIY’s will be appreciated.

Get you some Molle 2 shoulder straps. Had them on my climbing stands and a platform. They’re a bit bulky but super comfortable especially if you have a long hike in and they have enough material that securing a platform and sticks to them won’t be a problem. Very durable and there’s tons of mods on the interwebs

I bought a used mission platform that had muddy straps on it already. I Stealth stripped the buckles and they've worked great on my practice hikes and climbs. The platform isn't heavy enough to warrant the heavy duty straps in my opinion.

Thanks for the info.
