I have a badlands 2200 that I think is as big a pack as I want to wear hunting. It isn’t what I would call comfortable with a 60 plus pound load but it will haul it. I also have a surplus ilbe rucksack that will hold as much as I can stand to carry. It fits me well and I have carried 80 lb loads in it. The downside is it’s 9lbs empty. If I have hopes of packing one out over a mile or may spend a night the 2200 gets the nod. The ilbe doesn’t get to see daylight unless I’m spending three or more nights a long way from the road. There are newer and much lighter packs out there that may be more comfortable but I haven’t been able to justify the extra cost for something that gets so little use.

The SH Membership has gone live. Only SH Members have access to post in the classifieds. All members can view the classifieds. I like that. I searched for this 5 years ago and never found one. I ended up going to lowes and gettin a black plastic leaf bag insert. I cut some hole to attach a drag rope and tie off points.

I use a Eberlestock Mjni Me with a butt bucket. It's an amazing pack that's plenty big enough for whitetail needs.

I know this is an old thread, but after seeing so many backpack threads where all I see is hunting specific packs, i have to ask….
I am the only one that uses osprey packs?? They’re not camo, but IMO, osprey makes the best pack hands down on the market.

EXO 6400. I rarely need one this big in PA but Im covered for western hunts with 1 pack and if I gotta pack a bear out Ill be able to get more in. The weight was comparable to their smaller packs so I went big. I have ran MR Hotshot line packs since 2009 and have had it loaded with 100# on assignment a few times with NO issues. MR is bombproof stuff but it was heavier than the EXO so for hunting EXO got my cash
