In Ontario you can bait for whitetails. Well, my dad can’t walk too well and wanted to bait on a crossing that was about 150 yards to the truck so he can still be in the game. I figured no problem as I just honestly feel bad that he just can’t hunt like he used to. Anyways, we baited and only until a couple days ago the action started to heat up. He told me that he might not be able to hunt this shotgun season(this Monday) and when he says that, it means he ain’t hunting it.
I don’t hunt over bait. Maybe it’s a moral thing or i feel like it’s not the “macho” thing to do. But then i saw my target buck find my dads pile and since it’s public land i worry that other hunters will hunt his pile and smash this buck. Would you set aside your morals to take the target out?
