Bear Season!

Lots of dog hunters around here, but hard to find any bear still hunters to take me under their wing .

The camp where I go bear huntin' from, they have been bear hunting since the '70s.
I was the first person to get one from there. I hunt by MYSELF from daylight till dark every day of the season.

The last one I got was a 300 pounder and he was literally miles back in...
I needed help! It took hours to get the guys from camp gathered up and back in where I tracked that sucker.
They all said that I'm completely out of my mind for being that far back and in that kind of ${!+.
But, that's where they live.

If I ever strike it rich I'll come out and hunt Oregonian bears with you.

Hopin to get out this week and next in NY for early bear. Just dealin with some food poisoning...

great bears guys - really cool to see it

Bears in central WI have been off the bait for about a week now. We have some good acorns and they're getting the last of the corn before its chopped.
Right now all my bear pics are from them wandering along field edges and trails in the woods not stopping by baits. They should come back to them soon though hopefully. Cool bears on here already!

If you had a bear at the base of your tree, where would you aim while shooting straight down? I was told top of head but i would think upper back between shoulders? Serious question as several times I have bears at my tree before i knew it. I didnt know if season was open as its a quota so let several walk.
