Has anyone replaced the versa button with a cam cleat on these? I am a 1-sticker and really like the cam cleat on the muddy pros but like the weight savings on these.

Stiks arrived last night. I put stealth strips on before bed. The wrapping was easy.

Having never seen one before I can tell you there is not a sharp edge or point on the standoff.
As a matter of fact the teeth are beveled from the bottom up like to let them settle downward on the tree?? I better look at instructions to be sure, maybe beveled for reaching up..
The double step notches are sharper in my opinion.

It gets dark here by the time I get home but maybe I will try them on the phone pole after assembly. Just two of them mind you.

We may have different definitions of sharp but to me there are many more sharp edges on the Beast Sticks that the @DanO sticks. The corners of the steps, the outside edges of the standoffs, and even the non-chamfered side edge of the standoffs are all very fine edges. You can literally cut through boots and car upholstery with them. They even stick to tree with no strap.

I can’t come close to that with other sticks.
It’s not all bad to be sure, but it’s definitely different for me

The original batch of beast sticks the standoffs were like razor blades. They changed them in the summer and put the chamfer on them.

I chewed up the inside of the back passenger door trim in my new truck last fall by reaching back in to grab my release w/ sticks strapped to the back of JX3 . The originals are way too sharp, off season bench grinder project.......

Yes, Kenny Bania, they’re gold, or at least mine are too. I’ll be doing 1/4” amsteel blue anyway. I got mine Thursday night and by Friday morning they were stealth striped and fully assembled. I’m digging these as they’ll be my #1 stick for 2020.

I had beige in the initial run. The spring inside was catching on a few. But they were good after bending the spring out of the way with a pair of needle nose.

The black straps sucked. They didn’t fit under the button properly. I whined to them about it and they sent me gold straps. They are the best ones I have had from them. A little softer.

The best straps are the older lone wolf straps or the lone wolf custom gear straps.

I have a piece of 1/8" amsteel and tried it out on a stik, it worked great with the stock button.
So I went local to buy more and wouldn't you know they were out.
Not wanting to have to order I went with 3/16.
I will finally try them tomorrow with a single 22" aider.
They are looking good and pretty light too.

My stiks pack nice on my LW Alpha.
I laid them across the back and used the whoopie and soft shackles. Cinched tight, no sound at all.
The stiks are just stacked and not bolted or strapped together.
System says no posting pictures right now.
