Beast sticks

Also remember, Dan held off releasing them earlier (was July, then August, then September, then October) because he said the quality was not to his standards. So he went back and forth with the manufacturer (who ever it was) to make sure the tooling was perfect and was what he wanted. The idea that any other country other than the USA cannot make good products boggles my mind. They can and do.
I don’t doubt that the beast guys would hold them back if they weren’t happy with the quality. Was just curious if it would change people’s opinion at all on this site. I thought there was a bit of a blow back against Tethrd when they brought on off-shore sewing shops for some of their gear to be able to respond to demand. I’m hearing a different sentiment in this case. I like buying USA made when I can but also have no problem buying a quality product made overseas (unless the overseas manufacturer ripped off the intellectual property). In any case, the beast gear doesn’t fall in the latter category.

I got mine today as well. Word of advice. If you stealth strip, you are going to have to cut the strip where the hardware goes due to tight tolerances. Learned this the hard way tonight. Also, it takes forever to cut out each hole in the stripping. Although this was expected, if I could go back I wouldn’t cut out the holes.

Use a soldering iron & burn it , melts away like butter.......& keeps ends from fraying

Thanks! Any advice on what to use to install the versa button if you don’t have a socket that will fit in the hole?

It has shown that my Beast Sticks have been in Hodgkins, IL for two days at the UPS facility. I am about to drive up there and pick them up myself :). But it still shows Wednesday delivery to Bama so here’s to hoping!

The shipping systems blow my mind on how they can keep up with 100's of thousand to millions of packages and estimate delivery dates with pretty good accuracy. For example, my Beast Sticks sat at one facility in IL for three days and then after it left IL, in less than 24 hours, it was in a truck in Huntsville ready to go out for delivery. I was doubting it would make it on the Wednesday estimated delivery when I saw it was still in IL yesterday and had been there for 3 days but it looks like UPS knows what they are doing and planned for them to sit for 3 days.

I leave tomorrow on a hunting trip and I am pumped they should arrive in time to use them. See you later long, heavy, single step LW sticks

Would you recommend just cutting the strip to just fit this section since once you cut out hardware space there really isn't much to stealth strip?

I didn’t even stealth strip mine and they really don’t make much noise if any if you are careful. Only time they make noise is when I am packing up to leave but at that point I really don’t give a damn. Only place I can see being useful is to have a small strip of a stealth strip over the bolt where the sticks touch when stacked.

Snug means you need to induce force to pull them apart which creates an opportunity for noise.

My predator platform straps onto my sticks, onto my pack. That's where I think the biggest noise would come from. I do also like how warm stealth striped sticks feel in the cold. I debated stealth stripping because they do look so cool with the holes.

You can cut holes in the stealth strip and they still look cool :)

And also an easy DIY project
Yep, did my Predator strap. Was hoping Dan had saved me the trouble on the Beast sticks. I'm not sure if I'm going to use the original straps or new versa straps. Anyone want to chime in on their experience with new Versa's on Beasts?

Has anyone used Amsteel daisy chain or Dan O versa straps on beast sticks? I have both and have beast sticks coming tomorrow. Someone posted about the amsteel rope mod and said it was no good on beast sticks because they bite so hard it's really hard to pull them off once set...I Think?

Mine is supposed to ship today as well. Mississippi.

I have the new mini versas and just got my Beast sticks. Have not tested yet but I’ll get back to you when I get a chance to test.
