Bro, you mis-interpreted. I spent 7 years active duty Navy, with 3 combat tours in the early 90s. I never said "lowly individual". Nothing wrong with redneck field engineering. However, in the civilian world, if something fails, you better have some data.

My mistake. Things can easily get misinterpreted through a keyboard. As far as the strength of the steps, it is definitely there. I'm not saying that because I am affiliated with the company. I used the steps before all that. I would never give out bad information and get someone hurt. That's the last thing I want. One cool thing that Drew has done is aside from all the official strength testing on the steps and ropes he has also done simpler unofficial testing to put things into perspective for simple people like myself. The steps have been bent and re bent and had four-wheelers hung from them and been put against the stress of heavy equipment and held up. They are very safe all affiliations aside. The only time you really run any sort of risk with a step is on a smooth bark tree where they can sometimes slide down some of not cammed correctly/tight enough. Even in this situation, when climbing down you can still step on the step and it will hold. The pressure knot is still under tension and will not give. No matter who I work for or with, my individual integrity comes first. I will not and have never lied for a product to promote it. I would be terminated before I promoted a product that would get someone hurt or let people waste their hard earned money on something that does not do what they say it does. Are wild edge products for everyone? No. Nothing is. But they are very safe. Again, I apologize for the misunderstanding. There are some people on here that make it a habit to post passive aggressively and thats unfortunate for everyone else.
