I've been running an old aerohunter for 6 years, not sure the name but it was before the kestrel was made. I have had multiple lumbar surgeries and experience daily issues with pain from stenosis and chronic hip flex tightness resulting from my last op. Looking at switching over to a two panel for more comfort and adjustment. Any reccomendations on comfort?

Recon is a good basic with no bells and whistles.

The Transformer has nothing but good reviews

Look into the Drey Dryad too. You can add it to your existing saddle!

I’ve got the original Method. For me, It is great for early season but as clothing gets more bulky it seems more difficult to move the panels into position.

4 votes for the Overwatch Outdoors Transformer. It's the closest thing to a "conventional" saddle that I own.

For me, my Dryad Drey LL is more comfortable, and my JX3 beats 'em all in the comfort category!

Maybe consider adding the CGM re-direct back band? Jerry's addition to adding some lower support. Single panel with the re direct. I think he built it for guys with lower back issues looking for more support. Can always reach out to him if you have more questions.

I’ve been using the Cruzr Archon and very happy with it. All personal preference and once again, no way to try them without buying them. Good luck

I've been using a Tethrd Phantom for a couple years, but have seen the Method 2 by Latitude and it looks like it would be super comfortable. There's some other good options listed on this best tree saddle article by southeastern bowhunting. Does anyone know how the Method 2 compares with the Phantom?

Doesn’t look like much if ANY actual research went into that article at all. As for 2 panel saddles, the method 2 is comfy. I don’t want to take anything away from that, but if I were a 2 panel guy, I’d get either a Buzzard’s Roost or the Overwatch Outdoors Transformer. Buzzard Roost is lightweight and comfy, the Overwatch Transformer has a ton of features and is one of the highest quality sewing you’ll find in the saddle game. Also there are a bunch of single panel pleated saddles that you might find more comfortable than the one you have, if 2 panels end up not being your thing.

Anyone have any experience with timber ninja saddles, the new magnetic setup seems interesting. Just curious what the comfort level is on the older models.

I pulled the trigger a few weeks ago when buzzard roost was running a sale on these brown saddles. It’s my first two panel, so keep that in mind but I like it so far. I’ve not hunted out of it yet, only prepped some trees for future hunts.
