Best sitting saddle for beginner (1-stick cl method)?

Just curious because I have a JX3. Have you ever used it to one stick and if so how did you like it? Thanks.
 
No one sticking here, yet.
Bolts, Bullman steps and ROS bolts or (squirrel steps) on a ratchet strap.
I hunt all private land so they are mostly presets.
 
Every time I read that blip about the JX3 it makes me not want to try the JX3, haha. Reevaluate your marketing methods.

I one stick every hunt hunt with the JX3, no problem at all. I’ve used the Recon and Transformer as well, great saddles, but always come back to the JX.

(also wanted to mention….I sat in the phantom and kestrel and experienced hip pinch with both…maybe it’s unavoidable not sure)

Give the Dryad saddle a shot. Can’t say I’ve ever one sticked in it but I have a buddy who has and he says he does it with the hammock deployed and it’s extremely comfortable.

Thanks everyone. I did in fact go with the Dryad Drey. Very pleased with it so far but I haven't received my stick from Eastern Woods Outdoor, but I believe this system will work well for me overall.

It’s just an on going joke man! He knows what he likes and he knows what’s comfortable. What’s funnier is all the new folks on here asking the same question 300 times like “what’s the most comfortable saddle”. JC3 has just streamlined his response. It’s efficient if you ask me. He is also consistent and persistent. He’s no worse than kyler on trying to get people to try the JX3. As far as getting someone to try something, I’m convinced that no one can be convinced. I told a good buddy of mine all the pros and CONS to saddle hunting, then tried to steer him away from buying the worst saddle I ever tried (mantis) and he still purchased the dang thing. At the end of the day people are going buy based on feelings not facts most of the time. My buddy no longer saddle hunts and won’t be back.

I’m just curious why you think it would not be good for one sticking. I am new to the game and went with the treehopper recon which is basically the same thing. I have been practicing and have not experienced anything that left me wanting something different.
 
I started off doing the the one stick climbing method and the wilde edge steps knaider and swaider method. I just do the the stick climbing method now with a beast mini stick.
1) the most important thing you do as new saddle hunter is practice your climbing method. At least 10hrs for one stick climbing method. Practice in big trees small trees. Practice shooting and sitting.
2) don't go cheap on a saddle not worth it wait until can afford a good one . Not saddles are created equal.
 
I ran an ESS last year for one sticking and didn’t use the leg straps. I tried one sticking with it this year I’m the off season with leg straps and it was a lot better. I’m now contemplating using my DIY saddle I sewed up modeled after the transformer, (well under the quality and beauty of the transformer), it’s a great style of saddle though. I’m not surprised several people recommended it.

I am in about the same size as you. I went with the method 2 XL and think it works well. I one stick(SH1KAR one stick) and rappel down. I don't have alot of experience but I find this one comfortable enough to not try another. Not till next year anyway.
 
Dude, too many folks are soft. None of the saddles are a lazy boy.

Just buy one, climb and wait for deer.
