Happy holidays fellow predators.... hope everyone has had a great season!!!!!
My favorite books are “ whitetail advantage” and of course all of John Eberhart books. Chris Eberhart latest book was a good read as well. I have bought five or six other books on the subject ,read a few chapters and end up not finishing them because I deem the information inadequate or just plan dumb. So I thought I would ask you guys what deer hunting books have y’all read ???

I have read one of Johns books. I also recommend Jeff Sturgis's "Success by design" series of books if you own or lease ground that you can make habitat improvements on.

My favorite recently is Real World Whitetail Behavior by Jim Roy. Very good information about herd dynamics and why deer do what they do.

I had never given much thought about deer hierarchy until 2 seasons ago when I grunted in a 10 point to 30 yards(twice in an hour)but he would never cross the fence yet both times he sent the spike he was with to circle me!

Not specifically about whitetails but another interesting read is "Hunting With Bow & Arrow" by Saxton Pope. It really give a perspective of how modern bow hunting began in America.

I received the book "Mapping Trophy Whitetails" this Christmas. Definitely a good read. I am also wanting to get some of Eberhart's books.

But I also have to say the best hunting info I have gotten hold of hands down is Dan Infalt's DVDs. That is what has really helped me connect some dots.. You can also get a lot of info from him on YouTube for free. I think he may put out more free info than about any successful hunter I know of.
