BH Tuning Help

In my opinion, bareshaft tuning is to get you in the ballpark before shooting broadheads. You will almost always need to make minor adjustments once you move to broadheads to get consistent groups between field points and broadheads. Your form and grip will also have effects on these minor adjustments.
What yardage are you shooting the broadheads? How many inches different are they from the field points?
This was 20 and 30 yards. 20 yards they were touching, 30 yards less than an inch group

I used to agree with this premise. But with this new bow, the last three times I've "tuned" it, has been from it being almost completely disassembled, and starting from scratch. I went through the entire process to get it shooting right through paper, then bareshaft/fletched out to 40 yards. Once it was dialed in, I added broadheads to the mix. In all three efforts, no adjustment was needed to get the bow to shoot broadheads with field points out to 80 yards.

I'm pretty sure we are fudging things to get broadheads to fly with field points in most situations. And I'm pretty sure it's because of form/grip issues.
I am not positive on this, and different broadheads may mean different results. But in my experience, if you get a bow right enough to shoot bareshaft with fletched out to 40, and slap broadheads on, you should have no difference in broadhead impact out to that same distance. If you do, it isn't the bow.

Out of curiosity, have you emailed RF?

When I was going through the process I emailed him several times and had responses most times within an hour or two, if not by the next day. He'll likely ask a few questions, give you a few things to try, and report back.

Yeah I’ve been in contact with him on IG.

wish I woulda known that Lancaster archery sold individual arrows bc I would have gotten cheaper shafts than the Apollo’s

Are you shooting through paper out to 40? Or just grouping?

Big difference between a half turn and two….
Lol, I put it up a half turn, trajectory changed a bit. Not as much of a curve, and straighter shot but not much change in my pin positions
