Bibs or pants for the saddle?

I was considering getting a new set of Sitka bottoms and can't decide between pants or bibs (probably stratus). Previously in a tree stand it seemed like my bibs rode up more than pants and so my first season in the saddle I only used pants. Does anyone recommend either way?
I’m not sure how cold it gets in Alabama, but instead of the stratus pants or bibs you might consider the timberline pants. Built in knee pads. I have a couple of buddies that rave about them for saddle hunting. I am going to try them with the stratus jacket for my mid season get up.

You are in the same climate as me it looks like being in NW Georgia. Do you wear your bibs in? I typically wear my saddle in is another reason I had previously leaned toward pants.

I do wear my bibs in and have my saddle on at the same time and have no issues.

I actually had looked at those before. Do they have enough space to layer something like the gradient pant underneath?

I think you’d have to go a size up if you wanted to do that. I have my regular size and can wear long johns underneath, but not another pant.
