Just imagine that guides first day in federal prison when he walks in with his towels in hand and the murderers, rapists and/or worse ask "so, what you in for?"
Don't know of them and don't follow ridiculous influencers. Sounds like they are the kim Kardashians of hunting. Can't believe people watch this garbage. Glad they got busted, hopefully they lost privileges.
One thing I will say, you don’t get that jacked, or your teeth that snow white, or relatively successful in the outdoor space, without working your butt off. I do respect hard work, and they’re choosing to target a mass demographic, so do we hate the player or the game? And the guy has posted quite a bit of decent archery advice over the years (other than lobbing at animals 100 yards away). And yeah, I think there’s a decent chance they were a little naive about the lawbreaking, moreso than conspirators.I can't stand em, but...
Their guide got hit with prison time and a much bigger fine. Looks like it was part of a much larger scale bust. They got off on a plea deal, most likely because they testified against the guide would be my guess.
I know from the little bit of hunting out of state I've done, laws can be tricky. And guides can be...reassuring...about any qualms you have about how things are done.
I'd be curious to see the whole story. Looks like they're being used as an attention-grabber for the article.
Still can't stand em.

Just use serving, d-loop material, braided fishing line, heck any string material will work really. Been doing it for many years and guys have been doing it long before me. The "nose button" or snotter as it used to be called has been around as long if not longer than the kisser button. Even kissers were being made out of string material before they were being mass produced. Kind of how all saddle/stick designs were DIY before someone grabbed it and ran. So we're kisser and nose buttons. That's Sad... I really Like Their Nose Button On All My Bows...Someone Else Make One!!

They got charged with a felony… for deer…. You’d say that too.“They stated in court on behalf of themselves and their company, “I conspired to violate the Lacey Act and I should have known better.”” That’s a direct quote, so I’m not buying that they just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Maybe not the ring leaders, but by their own admission willing participants.
I wouldn't. I wouldn't have put myself in that situation to begin with. They got charged with a felony… for deer…. You’d say that too.
I think it’s called the law. You don’t like the law then work to change it. But until you do, I’d recommend that you follow it or suffer the consequences. They did plead guilty. And no, I won’t be congratulating guilty poachers for beating anything, but that’s just me.They got charged with a felony… for deer…. You’d say that too.

Here is my "nose button" on my hunting bow, may not look as cool and it definitely ain't pretty, but works like a charm.
A guy on archery talk cuts off little pieces of the ink tube on a bick pen, puts tiny slices in them and then flares them out, to get the spikey effect and then serves them in place if you want that spikey feel.

It's hard to say what I'm about to say without being labeled a "jealous hater" but I've been called worse.
Money buys teeth whitener and braces. Money buys 'roids, which I'll take 10-1 odds on he's using. Dude is huge and lean...and you usually can't have both naturally and have time to do other things and be over 30. Money also gives you freedom from the 9-5 grind and time/energy/safety to dump tike into risky startups.
Show me mom and dad's finances. It's been my observation that, despite the cultural myths we espouse, the biggest factor behind a successful person is successful parents. Dude supposedly had a 4.0 gpa and was a college athlete superstar and started his first "business" fresh outta school.
I tutored kids like that when I was in college. I liked most of them. But they didn't work any harder than the average kid. Their work had the advantage of leverage.
I don't begrudge people success. I do have a problem with the idea of "the grind" being behind the successful of lucky folks.
