Bowmar

I think that if you have kids, not knocking anyone or anything ( I have step kids), it changes the perspective on the " I'm going to be a tik token superstar " as a career choice.

It definitely hits different when your kid says they want to spend their life on their phone...

Edit: I see I got auto corrected on tok but token fits close enough

I think a lot of it stems from having created "a brand" and maintaining that brand demands that you create cutting edge footage on a really regular basis. Sometimes the pressure to do that will get the better of people and they'll cross lines maybe they wouldn't have to get it. That doesn't make it right but it does offer some explanation for the transgressions of some of the "Influencers".

I know I couldn't create enough footage from my last week of hunts to fill a 10 sec youtube short. :tearsofjoy: Unfortunately hunting and fishing are not always action packed.
I think this is what has been changing in hunting video world lately. I think a lot of us don’t need the action like people used to have on their videos. I’d rather watch the hunting public guys chase a 8 point for three days on public then some hot shot shooting a 200 Incher that is basically his pet and has a name for him.
For most of us, hunting is a about hanging with buddies and adventures in the woods, not about the antlers.. and I think a lot of hunting videos have become more about honest good people who love hunting than the old trophy hunting stuff. Guys like seekone, just hunt, etc. would rather watch that any day.

The trial wrapped up earlier this week from the 2015-17ish activities and all charges have been dropped. They were found innocent.
People like you are JUST like them. Posting false crap for everyone to see. They are GUILTY!! and pleaded GUILTY! Cant be a Lacey Violation without committing crimes first.

I don’t care for them at all, figured out pretty quick they weren’t my cup of tea. In my opinion they are everything that’s wrong with hunting today. That being said sounds like they got caught up with an shady outfitter the feds were after. Not saying they shouldn’t have known better but they weren’t the only ones either. Who knows what the outfitter was telling them or what they knew about. My gut tells me they are guilty of far more than the conspiracy to violate the Lacey act but honestly we’re never gonna know and clearly the feds had bigger fish to fry.
Same here... I think I watched half a video before I thought " this guy is a total dude-bro".... not sure who else uses that vernacular... but essentially a look at me type guy that gets around his friends and starts every sentence with "Dude, bro...."

Take a deep breath, crack open a cold beer, and chill out.

I don't even know @Timberdonkey_059 but I will give him the benefit of the doubt that he's a decent person and isn't trying to intentionally spread false info. His initial statement that charges were dropped is correct. Technically they weren't found innocent, but no one is. Verdicts in our legal system declare the lack of guilt, not the presence of innocence. And in this case it was a plea bargain, so no verdict was even rendered on the dropped charges. But in either case its clear he's just saying the charges were dropped. Don't make everyone talk like a lawyer.

Not to mention just a few posts below that he said he should have fact checked his source.

Thank you for taking the time to read that post I made and not taking the time to read my follow up post where I admitted to being wrong and having bad information and then looping me in with being "JUST like them".

The internet is fun.

Appreciate that @Dcomer55

and the dude is built like ray lewis. hes killin hippos and stuff.

only cheesy show i like similar to that is tim wells. He is so over the top ridiculous it makes the cringe bearable. Watchin him throw a rock at a gemsbuck and blowdart baboons eating a orange pile is definitely entertaining even if its unethical by my own standards.

These two are unrealistic fake hunters who in no way represent the everyday real hunter, you and I who put our time, money, effort into a passion that most of the time doesn’t give the results we work toward- yet we keep pursuing. I’m probably one of the few who haven’t heard of this couple- they Look absolutely cheesy.. love how their use of camo makeup is so perfect- and matching. have they tried to get a patent for their camo? I bet she never breaks a sweat or forgets to put on eyeliner and lipstick before going on camera..

I don't think that's insane. Kids are dumb. They're "supposed" to be. I'm sure half the kids in the 60s wanted to be Dylan or Jagger, and the kids in the 80s wanted to be Slash.

I'd be really sad if the local kids all realized at 16 that the boys were statistically likely to either work for the local utilities or construction firms, and the girls were gonna wear scrubs or sell insurance or real estate. Nothing wrong with that, don't get me wrong. But there's plenty of time to embrace the idea that your lie somewhere in the middle of the bell curve later in life.
But momma said I was special

I understand that.. Don't think I'll run out to buy a camera either for 20 seconds of video a year..
