If you're against the ratchet I'd just look for a good OCB buckle. I don't know that the LW strap would get them tight enough.Strongly considering their ROS as my first platform when I get my Kestrel in September. I don’t want to use a ratchet strap though. Any suggestions? Would a LW camlock strap work tightly?
Like a boat strap? If you're against the ratchet I'd just look for a good OCB buckle. I don't know that the LW strap would get them tight enough.
Any particular recommendation?@DelaWhere_Arrow yes sir!
Thanks! How do you combat the noise issue? Sometimes I feel like when I move slower things get louder.I still use a ratchet. I know some guys use the Ericson and like it.
Yes sir. I’m imagining it’s like cracking glass on public landLike the noise from the ratchet?
Fair. Call me nothing if not willing to try most things twice.I just go slow. You'd be surprised. I'd be willing to bet from 50 yds away you'd have trouble hearing it. That's just my opinion, but that's my a lot of guys like the ocb.
I had these too and to my knowledge the best way to silence them is to sell them and buy squirrel steps, ameristeps or wait for new ROS to come out. Do what ya can for now but those things are awkward and slick as snot when your boots are wet or muddy.I have a bullman ROS and ha e played with it a couple times. They are awkward to try and tape the complete step. Does anyone have any methods they have had success with in silencing the steps when they contact each other?
Yeah I was considering some bedlinen spray. Was just curious what others had doneI had these too and to my knowledge the best way to silence them is to sell them and buy squirrel steps, ameristeps or wait for new ROS to come out. That probably would work if you roughed em up a bit. Worth a shot anyways!Yeah I was considering some bedlinen spray. Was just curious what others had done
